Shade and Dust is an Alternative Death Metal band born in 2015, nearby Nantes, in France.
Different influences such as Lamb of God, Gojira, Sepultura or Devildriver lead them to combine the Death brutality and the Thrash riffing with some alternative keys. On the words side, the band approaches themes like fatality, absurdity of life, time or perceptions through their own view.
On stage, one thing is for sure, the five musicians don’t want you to remain indifferent. Emerging from the shade for their very first time, the group ends up victorious at the Vignoble Nantais musical tournament 2017.
The adventure begins and the shows to follow are getting more and more important. Note, the Motocultor Metal Fest warm up 2017, Amarok Metal Fest 2018 or Nantes Metal Fest 2018. Great experiences allowing them to share some scenes with bands of national stature such as Deficiency, Malkavian, Heart attack, DeathAwaits, Flayed or Sticky Boys.
Shade and Dust enters 2019 at a turning point. New scenography for a new show, designed to carry their first album : Erode. Produced in Clisson, at the Vamacara studio (Loudblast, Dagoba, Joey Jordison, Les Tambours Du Bronx, Otargos,…).
Crossing the path of Aephanemer and Pensées Nocturnes at the Keudfest, Shade and Dust is well determined to step out of their homeland to show off more of loud stuff.
The journey has just begun.
